Designs

The most common of any trusses.  This truss consists of two rafters, a horizontal beam (called the tie beam), and a vertical central post (the kingpost) that supports the peak.

A hammer beam truss is a type of roof truss where horizontal beams extend from the posts, with short, vertical supports (called hammer beams) that help transfer the load to the bottom of the posts.  This design allows for larger spans.

A kingpost truss as well, this truss offers an arched bottom chord. This increases headroom and can soften the feel of the truss, adding elegance. 

A scissor truss is a type of truss that features two diagonal beams (the scissors) that cross at the center, forming an X-shape.  This design creates a vaulted ceiling to allow for higher ceiling and more open space.

The queen post truss is similar kingpost truss in that it utilizes the bottom team beam but it also adds the two posts dividing the gabled space these are known as the queen post.
